California Drought

The drought has affected California’s agriculture causing farming operations to look north. Tree farmers are considering entering the hazelnut industry as an alternative to producing almonds, walnuts, and pistachios.

Ferrero’s Packaging

Much like using shells for landscaping, Ferrero has begun searching for ways to fully use hazelnuts by creating cardboard packaging. Ferrero goes through more than 100,000 tons of hazelnuts a year, that’s a lot of shells!
